I’ve only seen a couple JL rigs on the internet that went with tires bigger than 40’s. Within this forum, I’ve only seen one thus far and was wondering if there were others. So if you are, or plan on, going north of 40’s what type of system (lift, axles, wheels, etc.) are you going to run/build?

If i were to do that id start by taking the engine and trans from a challenger. dana 60’s or planetary axels fed from an atlas t case. Evo high clearance long arm kit with king coilovers 5.5” lift with approx 9-10 inch of travel. Ram assist steering, not sure which fenders id go with...lod rear bumper with carrier. 1/4 pounder up front with zeon 12 synthetic.

I’ve seen that LOD bumper/tire carrier, yet I don’t know much about the company. Do you run one? If so, how’s it built?

And out of curiosity, why EVO? Are there elements with in it that are superior to say GenRight or Rebel?

As for the T-Case and Zeon 12, I completely agree. And if it’s a gas rig, I’d agree with the power plant as well. Yet if it was an EcoDiesel, I’d like to see it retain its original power plant.
