I'm looking for a dealer to service my JL in north Houston or Conroe. Yes, I want my Jeep Wave oil changes damn-it! Ha! I searched the forum and found just a few posts but couldn't really find a lot of specific issues. The closest to me are DeMontrond in Conroe, AutoNation in Spring, and Tomball Jeep. Any experiences with those dealerships as far as service goes? Anyone have a favorite service writer?

I bought from DeMontrond and that was great but haven’t had to take it in there for service yet. I’ve never heard anything good ever about any Auto Nation dealership. No personal experience but I’d envy take my vehicle to them if I had any choice. I know nothing about Tomball Jeep.

Whatever you decide, post how it goes so others know.

Thanks @Chocolate Thunder! Not many of the dealer service centers are rated on Dealer ratings or any other web site for that matter. I’m leaning toward DeMontrond also. They do have a Jeep Service Award according to the Jeep site. No other north side dealerships seem to have that. There are two down near Pearland who seem to be highly rated and have service awards but I’d rather stay closer to home.

I talked to one of the service techs at DeMontrond when I picked up my Jeep. I had them put it on a lift so I could inspect everything underneath (welds!) before taking delivery. In the 10-15 minutes we interacted he was polite and very knowledgeable of Jeeps for what that’s worth. I don’t remember his name.

Just the fact that they would go that far seems to point to DeMontrond having a good service department.

Maybe. But people do anything to make a sale, doesn’t mean they’ll give you good service. I once went into Gallery Furniture back in ‘93 and Mattress Mac said he’d stick his junk in a blender if I bought that brown recliner TODAY!

Went to Tomball dodge/Jeep for service a few times. Bad experiences every time. If anyone has any recommendations in the Houston area, I'm definitely interested!

Hi Kevin’s Rubi and TheWingman,
You can enter your zip code here to view all certified Jeep dealerships in your area: https://www.jeep.com/find-dealer.html. If you see any dealerships that have received a Customer First award this means that this dealer has achieved the highest level of customer experience recognition in five core areas: people, facility, processes, customer metrics and training certification. If you ever have any questions or concerns during a service appointment feel free to send us a PM for assistance!

Thank you @JeepCares DeMontrond of Conroe has received a Customer First award. Being on the north side of Houston it looks like the dealership I'll go visit. I'm going to start with an email to the service manager. Relationships are everything to me. I went back to see if the other Jeep dealers whom I mentioned as having received good feedback were also Customer First dealerships. They were; Gulfgate Jeep and Helfman River Oaks Jeep. From what information that I can find online these are well reviewed. @TheWingman if any of these are close to you you may consider a visit. There are three others on the site who have also gotten the Customer First award but I did not do searches of them overall as they are too far away for me. I'll post feedback after I meet with them this week.

@Chocolate Thunder I really think Mattress Mac would have done that! Ha! 30ish years ago he offered to deliver our furniture himself if a truck didn't come in by 9pm that night. Unfortunately, I don't think the dealership I bought from would have done the same. Either before or after the sale.

I second Demondtrond. Talk to Robert foreman. He’s my buddy and I’ve worked with him on numerous vehicles over the last 14 or so years

Thanks for the reply’s. I went to DeMontrond Conroe and was impressed. They have mechanics who deal mostly with Jeeps including a Jeeper who’s been with them for over 20 years. The service manager Mike Renfro took the time to meet with me and show me around. The pro is that I think they really are Jeep people. The only con I can see is that they are a busy shop. I plan on a drop off (other than oil change and rotation) over waiting. The service advisors told me to just give them a call and they could give me an idea of how long the wait would be. But @rustyshakelford wins the recommendations here. 14 years is a great track record. Thanks Brett

Glad you had a positive experience. If you ever get up this way feel free to swing by the shop and we’ll show you what we have going on over here! We’re between Montgomery and Navasota
