Hey Guys I found another cool place to off road, Patriot Mountain Off Road Park:
3588 NC-194, Sugar Grove, NC 28679, (828) 773-0733

The owner is Joel and he's a really cool/chill guy who loves to off road... so he bought 35 acres behind his house and built really nice trails. $30 to join for a year, $10 per vehicle when you ride. Had to winch us out of a tight slick turn and... slipped in the mud :)

What you can't gather from this pic is I had to climb down onto the tire to get out. We were at 25 degrees and 25 degrees is actually a very comfortable position in the seats, however you can't see anything but sky.

About 3 minutes from my home.

I just put a set of KM3s on my JLUR. Not cheap but look and ride great!

I think those KM3s look. Would like them, but thinking KO2s better on snow. I face for snow on roads than mud off road. Please correct if wrong in thinking KM3s not as good on snow/ice.

No snow yet with the KM3s but I did take the KO2s out in a foot of it and they did very well.

Sting Gray Rubicon ordered 1st of Dec. should arrive next week. I live outside of Boone, NC (Valle Crucis).
We were just up there running Patriot Mountain right across the street from Mast General Store. If you aren't afraid to get your Rubi dirty check it out :)
Yep... stay away from RubiTrux unless you want to be in serious debt... lol.

that's what will be like mine within a month, except Sting Gray, OME wheels, Mopar round lights and Maximus/Rhino Pioneer rack. Thanks for photo.

I was looking at those the other day. It has a 154 lb weight limit. So you could put a 35 lb Thule cargo box and 100 lbs of stuff in it no problem.

Is that the “driving” weight limit? Say you got a roof tent could you sleep on top or would that bust out the rain gutters it’s clamped to?

Hard to say. The load rating is basically the load rating of the top itself. I’m a pretty big guy so I won’t be trying a RTT. My focus was more about the low profile design (1.5” total height at highest point of the Jeep) and the ability to remove the top while the rack is still mounted (I switch to softop in warm weather months). I’ve seen pics with RTTs mounted and some claim the load rating is dynamic (while driving) and that it can handle more when the Jeep is stationary.

Hey everyone. I’m looking for either Rubicon or Moab 4 door rock sliders. Let me know if anyone has any for sale. Thanks!
