@chevymitchell thanks for the offer. I was trying not to pay $400! I got another quote this evening from a pretty reputable shop in the “high country”, $704 installed with an alignment!!! Holy Sh$t,

$704 is way too much.

You'll be hard pressed to find a reputable shop to do the install for less than $400. I'm not sure what you have in mind to pay, but it's not always the work being done calculated into the cost. For something like this, a shop is going to want to cover the amount of time the vehicle lift is being used. You're also supplying your own parts, so for a shop to maintain a 30-33+% profit on each job, they'll need to build that into the labor. For a busy shop, it's honestly not worth performing this job unless they have a lift that can take the 3-5 hour hit for $400. This is usually done after hours, rainy days, or holiday weekends.

There is such a thing as too cheap, as well. I always reference the simple economic triangle.

Fast/Quality Work = Not Cheap
Fast/Cheap = Low Quality
Quality/Cheap = Not Fast

Is an alignment really necessary after this type install?

No. You'll be fine without an alignment.

You may have to correct the steering wheel because it will be off by a hair, but that's super simple to do and that's only if it's off.

If you're doing just the rubi suspension without spacers or other lift components, you won't need anything adjusted. Just bolt your new parts on and go.

Happy Parts Day!!

I sold my wheels and tires this morning to a guy in SC. So, my Jeep will live on the lift until it's done now.

I have finally got all the pieces in one spot to lift this thing and get those 37's under it. It's taken a lot of time and patience, for sure. Now...I just need more time. Haha. I've got Germany and India on the list for the next few weeks, so maybe at the end of February, I'll have it done so I can break in the 4.88's and get wheelin'!

Got my lift installed... I’m so happy with this!

Got it all done and no alignment needed. Straightened the wheel, torqued everything down, and it drives really really good. Even the 6-speed doesn’t really mind the 37’s. It’s absolutely daily driverable as is.

Teraflex forgot my trackbar bracket, but it’s on the way. Don’t need it to drive it. I’ll throw it on when it gets here next week.

15 lb. Powertank Installed. Pretty awesome. I’m very much looking forward to airing up in 5 minutes or less.

That looks AWESOME!!!!!

If I could get two tanks on each side, that would be a great way for us to transport our scuba tanks without loading up the floor space (though, their steal...so it's easy to throw the rest of the gear on top of them...I may be once again solving for a problem that's not one :))

That setup will be nice airing up though; will that take about 1/3 of the time?

I know, right! I was super excited when it all came together. It looks and, functionally, works great.

I installed my 37's yesterday. I went from about 18 psi to 35 in 30 seconds or less. I didn't keep track, but it was super fast.
