North Carolina Outer Banks Trip Coming Up

If you want to go to Cape Lookout, you live in NC, call them and see when they have an opening and schedule it. I enjoyed my chill four day weekend out there. It is very desolate so the chances of being around and idiot is pretty slim.

I'll look into it for sure. I would only be going out for a day trip when I go. So I'll need to check with them and see how they accommodate that.

I'll be in Rodanthe at the end of June. Bought my 10-day permit. Can't wait to try out my JTM on the beach and do some fishing. I drove several times on the beach in my JLU (Avon, Nags Head, Corolla/Carova. I want to get out on Cape Point since it's one of the best shore fishing spots in the world.

That was a little south of ORV ramp 25 on Hatteras Island. Probably about 25+ miles north of the Cape Point area.

Went up to Manteo yesterday. Visited the Manteo waterfront marina for the first time. Lots of history and heritage in this area.

I really like Manteo from the few times I've visited the downtown area. It's quaint with some pretty good restaurants and bars. I'm really thinking about retiring there one day. I'd prefer to be on the beach, but I don't want to deal with Hwy 12 flooding out all the time and Manteo is just over the bridge so it takes no time to get to the beach.
