Looks like fun. I can't wait for a snow run this year. Later in winter maybe the norcal members should do a run to Uncle Tom's cabin.

Mid October I got to check out Bowman Lakes in Tahoe National Forest CA. What a total blast! It was my first Jeep club outing and first water crossing. Beat the snow fall by 6hours on the day we left.

My stock Jeep (nicknamed Nacho) kept up with the mod pack better than expected. Even when I got stuck on the creek bank, I got out by my steam. That rig is a beast. But definitely looking to get a lift kit sometime next year.

Looks like a great trip. You were fairly close to signal peak. That's another great trail in the area. I dont have any really great photos though. We took our jeep up there for its maiden offroad journey.

I haven’t been up to signal peak in many years. I remember it’s a fun trail and at that time there was quite a bit of growth on the trail.

Is the overgrowth still there Alex?

I haven’t been up to signal peak in many years. I remember it’s a fun trail and at that time there was quite a bit of growth on the trail.

Is the overgrowth still there Alex?

Toward the final accent, the bushes are thick. There's a good chance of some pin stripping if you don't pay attention to tire placement.

I'm not sure what the snow level is but if there's snow/ice on the ground be weary on the last accent to the summit. While typically a walk in the park with ice or snow it could be a bit challenging given how exposed you are around the steep hills. Also, I don't recall any place to anchor a winch to at that final accent. If there is snow you may want to consider going up the entry from the Cisco groove exit, IIRC. Typically that would be the exit.

Do any of you who wheel hard have the exhaust loop delete kit? My skid plate won't allow for crossmember removal that is needed to mount a loop skid. Not sure if it's entirely necessary or if the community is salesmaning it up again.

laird lake and elk river (near port orford) are amazing in the snow or
dunes, my area
from north bend (boxcar campground) to winchester bay near reedsport miles and miles of dunes and ocean access

Yep, I've just come back from that area. I'm familiar
Most of the high elevation areas were flat out closed when I was there recently. That was during that huge storm though. I love that shit.
