I've seen other forums have a thread like this and it really helps out. Going wheeling? Want to go wheeling? Find a good camp spot? Need a tow or just some general advice and discussions, post here! Make friends and go out and have fun!

Met @Bluebeast yesterday up Bowman. Found some good snow wheeling and tapped our inner survivor skills to make a fire

I was just about to ask if anyone is going out to play this weekend. You going up the Sly Park side or the 88 side?

I'm interested in going. Will my stock JLUR make it through?

You should be good. We take ours with no problems. Airing down your tires will help when it gets a little deep. :like:

What time and location for the meetup?

Right on. It can get kinda deep towards the top, we usually have a truck like mine plow and cut trail for the other rigs. Air down, shovel and tow strap and you will be fine.
I wont be able to make this trip, I'm working tomorrow and the wife has been pretty sick, looks like we are going to stay low this weekend.

I should be at the Safeway in pollock pines around 1030ish.

I am bring my wife and 4 year old boy though so I can’t go that crazy. There’s another group of jeepers going also, but there’s so many people that travel on the road it’s never that big of a deal.

just look for a black Jeep on 37s and some traction mats strapped to the spare.

:( Is that a temporary closure or do they close it all season?

There is a seasonal closure to all rubberized wheeled vehicles (e.g a Jeep) starting Jan 1st, excluding OHV like a snow machine. However this one is a temporary closure due to unsafe conditions. But the FS only stated closed at the Rucker lake turn off. There are other ways to access the road and I'm not 100% those routes are closed. Kinda confusing
