Hi,

Not a stock rim, but nice Mopar alternative, just ordered 5 for my 22 JLUR as not into the black rim look.

I really didn't like the tires/rims on my '21 Sahara 4xe. I ended up keeping the rims and going with a larger AT tire and really happy with the look.

Well I used to hate the 20s until I saw this.

Changed my mind!

275/65R18 Pirelli Scorpion AT+ (32") with Rubicon shocks and springs. Wider than stock but the 32s priced out at almost exactly what I got for my stimulus check last year. The 275/70R 18 (33") would have been more but would still have been a good option. Overall its an improvement over the mild ATs the Jeep came with. By itself it doesn't look bad, except when everyone else you're out with has 35s and 37s, lol.

Yes, I like those Mopar wheels very much.

I recently got these 17-inch rims from Quadratec. The wheels have Jeep's classic "Moab" design but are 8.7 inches wide and have 5.2 inches of backspacing to accommodate 35s.

Quadratec had a special deal on Cyber Monday; I paid about $125 per wheel, which is a steal.

Not a Rubi . It’s the 20 Altitude with Teraflex wheels and 37. It may have that puny look you are referring too

If you don't have 37s you don't have real tires, just tiny little baby tires.

I thought that stock Sahara tires looked wimpy a bit. Mostly due to wheel offset - wheels sit too far under the fender. And soe due to overall narow tire.

Picked up used 34" 295 wide tires on 20s with aggressive offset, +12 (would prefer 17s, but at 1/4 of the price could not pass it up this set lightly used). It changes the look quickly.

In my mind 275 wide tire on wheel at 0 offset achives nice look without carrying too much tire width/weight, just to make up for poor wheel offset.

I picked up a Sahara during COVID lockdown in May 2020. Dealer stock was limited, so I took what I could at a great price. I quickly ended up not being able to stand the "I skipped leg day" look. Wasn't for me.

I ended up adding a Rubicon suspension, wheels, tires, and front bumper. Then replaced the side steps, and the back bumper. Added factory LED lights all around, proximity entry, got a soft top to go with the hardtop, and various and sundry other things.

In a non-COVID situation I likely would have done things differently, but I love the way it turned out.

Sometimes the puny wheel issue can be solved, from an aesthetic and performance perspective, by selecting specific mods.

For instance, my Willys 17" MOAB wheels looked puny but I liked the style a lot.

I didn't care much for the M/T style tire on the rig and after my first foray into the desert here I realized they weren't the best choice for the sand and rock conditions you normally encounter here. Also, I realized that they hugely contributed to the "puny wheel" look.

I thought about different wheels but realized that they were 7.5" x 17" which gave me a lot of tire choices to consider. About a month after I purchased the JL I swapped out the M/T tires for a set of Toyo ATIII tires that are more capable, quiet and easier riding. I also went up a couple of sizes from stock to a 285/75R17 which fit the MOAB wheels without issue.

At this point I had the right tires for the conditions I would experience, on and off road, and now I needed a bit more suspension height to optimize off road performance. So on went the lift, new bumpers front and rear, a winch, lights, a roof rack, triple tube steps that are also rock sliders and a few other misc. mods. It settled in quite nicely and there are no "puny wheel" issues to deal with.

Another vote for putting Rubicon takeoff K02s on a Sahara. I got a 4xe which came with the 20" high altitude wheels, but didn't care for the gloss look or small sidewalls. Was able to pick up the black Willys / Moab 17" wheels with 33" K02s and couldn't be happier with the balance of look and drive, use as daily driver.

I was really ok with keeping the stock Sahara 18 inch wheels and just upgrading to a beefier tire. When I priced out my options it was clear I could just snag a set of Rubicon take offs for much less. The trick was being patient while I waited for takeoffs in the style I wanted and having them close enough. Honestly, it took me a year to find the right set and priced close enough. Even then, it was a two hour drive to close the deal. Worth it!
