Same thing for me here, no sound for any system including even Siri. I did get beep of backup sensor. I switched through all the modes and inputs and also restarted vehicle several times. I started driving and then switch to AM and got static which meant all sound had returned and everything operated normal. Weird. Weā€™ll see if it happens again - this thread can be a log of sorts.
Hi kimmonia,

We're sorry to hear this happened! Please let us know if it happens again. We would be happy to provide additional assistance while at the dealer.

I had this happen today. Wonder what causes it? Tried the voice/phone button procedure to no avail. Did the switch to AM, which is completely oddball, but it worked.

@JeepCares, who is logging these glitches as software bug reports, who maintains the JIRA or other problem report repository? Instead of offering help at a dealership, it would be better to know if the bug was reported, logged, and if more reports are being documented, and more importantly, that the bug is being worked and/or fixed.

Switch to AM bring sound back?
I didn't get a chance to try that before the sound returned on its own. Didn't know of that solution until I had already parked my Jeep and looked up a fix on this forum.

I have the 8.4 Apine system and the same thing happened. Worked fine in the morning and then after work no sound from FM, Bluetooth, or Nav. Didnā€™t try AM until I read the forum. It worked!!! Saved me a trip to the dealer. I hope this doesnā€™t happen a lot, I only have 350 miles.

My sound didn't return when I chose AM most recently. The first two times it happened that did work. Now, not so much. I can almost guarantee as soon as I pull into the dealer the sound will come back on.

I also thought maybe the car was picking up Bluetooth from something, so I shut my BT off on the phone-didn't change anything. Was driving so it's not like it was picking up someone else's phone.

Happened to me today, as soon as I told the doors and top off. 5 hours later still no sound.

I know taking the doors and top have to relation to the no sound but Iā€™m going to put it all back together and unmarry the tazer. If still no sound off to the dealer I go.

Hi everyone
I was About to drive my car home from work tonight when there was no sound from the radio, navigation or any of the voice commands. I rebooted the system, rebooted and unmarried the Tazer and nothing worked.
As always, I turn to the score room and there was the answer I do you want to however point out that I did work once I turned eight in to A.m. radio and then back to FM and SIRIUS however I did have to leave it in a.m. about 30 seconds before kick back in. For those who didnā€™t work try it for at least 30 seconds
Is anybody had any answers from jeep about this ?

Tag @JeepCares in this thread every time you post. @JeepCares needs to do some legwork here to get this brought the FCAā€™s attention. I believe we have figured out the workaround to making it work again with the AM switch, but the software bug needs to be addressed.
