Hi everyone,
I just removed the muffler as It was getting quite dented and I did not want to destroy it completely.

Do I risk melting the heat shield or anything else?

Just ask @cosine he knows!
No, just carbon monoxide getting into the cabin since the exhaust now exits right below you.

Carbon monoxide for the moment is not a problem since I drive completely topless.

just finished installing the dynomax muffler delete a few minutes ago. jeep sounds great now. just a little more throaty. i pondered sending the dynomax back and just leaving it mufflerless but as i read from others it could allow carbon monoxide into the cabin. for under $100, just do the dynomax. it also will point the black soot away from the bottom of your jeep.

there are video reviews of the dynomax muffler delete on Youtube. you can see the install process and hear what it sounds like after the install.

nice mod for $100 :like:

stay away from the flowmaster. appears to have fitment issues. the dynomax went on like butter.

Just installed this, sound is louder especially in the lower gears, mellows out in higher gears.

See how the wife likes it, it is her Jeep!

Can you ship to Italy?
I got mine about a month ago, shipped it using Aramex, Through New York. air shipping barely costs anything since they charge by weight and the dynomax exhaust weighs basically nothing. love the quality and the sound, not too loud and just right.

here's some pictures of it.
