Send a private message to Jeep cares about it. I told them what dealership I took it to . I even called my insurance company to tell them it may be their device causing the problem. The dealership said my radio has all the updates. Won't do anything till I take out the device.

Mine does the same from time to time.
This was yesterday. First time was black screen, then after parking, camera came back without lines, let it sit for the night and everything came back in the morning.

I had to drop my jlur at the dealer for the same reason. They installed an update that should fix it.

@JeepCares has no clue how to fix this. It all started after the update last year. Progressively worsening random issues on mine, including the UConnect freezing completely 4 times to the point where the only way to reset it was to pull the fuse. After months of screwing around, I was told that another update was to be released mid-January. Around the end on January, received a call that the update was ready, but needed to go to the dealer to be done. Dealer told me I had the most recent update, then suddenly Jeep tells me that there is no other update and UConnect engineers say there is no other update in the works as of now. Dealer just replaced the entire system last week, so we’ll see...

Here’s a link to my post about the issue in another thread, along with a video.

The UConnect issues have been documented and will unfortunately probably get worse for you. It all started after the software update last August. I intermittently has the USB connections drop, grid lines disappear, and occasionally the entire system freeze, which initially would reset after turning the car off and back on. Now, when the system locks up, the only way to reset it is to pull the fuse. See the video below. I opened a case with @JeepCares last November. 2 trips to the dealer, they finalordered me a new radio, but I doubt it’s a hardware issue. I’ve been waiting on the new radio for over a month. Jeep told me they were told another UConnect update was to be released the middle of January, but to take it to the dealer to be installed. Dealer said I had the latest version. Now Jeep Cares won’t respond to me about the status of the update. Very frustrating.

I drove my Jeep to the dealership for an update on the back up camera last week and now I get a blue screen. Great.

I know my 8.4" system is running old software and needs to be updated but threads like this make me want to leave the old software installed lol... My backup camera always works fine and and my radio doesn't cut out like another thread. Good luck to you all...

Today at lunch I went out for a ride in my 2018 Jeep JLUR. I noticed when I reversed, the back up camera screen came on with the over head warning to check your surroundings in print. but no Video . just a Black screen with the warning. I also attempted to turn it on via the app function in this case I get the white X in the top rite . but again a black screen. I double checked in settings that my back up was selected along with the guide markers. Every other functions/apps on the 8.4" U connect screen appears to be normal. Just no video. I did a visual check in back of the jeep of the camera lens . no obstruction at camera either.

Anyone else have this issue? any Ideas?
My screen went black today also. 8.4 also - everything else works fine. I'll see if it comes back on in the morning - lines are also coming & going for some other folks. If it doesn't reset I'll take it to the dealer.

Started Jeep up this AM & backup camera works, lines & all. We'll see if it continues to work.

I was having the issue with green lines on the screen or a solid blue screen. Took it to the dealer late January to get the TSB done to add the off road Pages and the backup camera issue. They did the TSB adding the ORP and said the same update would fix the backup camera also. That was two months ago and no issues with the backup camera since.
