OK several of you have pointed out that if you have the e-torque motor you don’t have an auxiliary battery. That solves that mystery for me so thank all of you very much. So now my next question, my main battery is brand new and I’m still getting the Auto Stop/Start disabled light. So what are some possible causes for that? Is there another issue that would cause this that an ambitious lay-person like me could address or do I need to take it to the shop?
Is there a code logged?

Was there anything in that location or was it just an empty compartment? I have the etorque too and I’ve always wondered about that area since there is no tiny aux battery there. It could be a nice place for something like an air compressor if it’s just an empty compartment.

Since you just had the battery replaced, make sure all your battery connections are tight.

Does this happen if you let it idle in park for more than a few minutes? Mine did that constantly, but if I had it in drive with my foot on the brake it didn't seem to come on as much or at all??? I hate ESS personally...

I have the Etorque and the compartment is there, I saw it when my fender was removed, but it is pretty small, not sure it would hold anything worthwhile.

The space is too small for a compressor. Plus it has very little ventilation.

Check the hood ajar switch, not 100%, but I saw somewhere that the battery is one cause and the hood switch is the other (some ppl were unplugging the secondary hood switch to kill ESS (but you will be stuck with the light on the dash).

If that switch isn’t closing, it may prevent start/stop from functioning.

What does the dash say on screen #6?

There should be something that tells you why it's not operative if it's charging or there is a fault etc.

So I did see if you get the 8sp auto it requires the 3.6l etorque, but I read those still use the AUX battery (if I am wrong let me know). Only the 2.0L gets the 48v battery from what I have seen.
Nope. Both motors have eTorque.

So I had this exact issue. Went through the whole process to find I don’t have an auxiliary battery(happy about this).
definitely not an aux under the rear seat and I do not have etorque engine. Have 2019 wrangler 2L turbo rubicon and 40,000 miles. Replaced main battery and all is great. Again, glad I don’t have the auxiliary but if I add some additional accessories I have a place to put a battery although a pain to get to. And now the question is why don’t I or original poster have the auxiliary battery?
