I was going to start this exact same thread, except asking about southern jersey instead :)

hope you find a good one up there!
Hi Joaozao and HoundDude,
You can enter your zip code here to view all certified Jeep dealerships in your area: https://www.jeep.com/find-dealer.html. If you see any dealerships that have received a Customer First award this means that this dealer has achieved the highest level of customer experience recognition in five core areas: people, facility, processes, customer metrics and training certification. If you ever have any questions or concerns during a service appointment feel free to send us a PM for assistance!

None of the local dealers show up as Customer First. Surprise surprise.

is the Customer First award for the sales department, service department or a combination of the two?

the dealership closest to me and where I purchased my jeep did not receive a Customer First Award. they also didn't even want to look at my Jeep for excessively loose (nearly 3" dead spot/play) and wandering steering which was scary to drive on the highway (I've test driven multiple JLs and the difference is dramatic). in fact, the service manager noted in my vehicle file that it is "operating as designed" and "has no safety issues". he literally never even looked at the jeep, just wanted me to go away. and I'm a really quiet guy who never complains about stuff so it wasn't me :)

there is another dealership within a reasonable distance that did receive a Customer First award, their sales department does not have good reviews online but maybe I'll give their service department a try. thanks for the suggestion!

Burlington, NJ City Auto Park Jeep is horrible. I went in for service, they overfilled my oil by a quart, tried to convince me it was 6 qts. After arguing several times with the service guy and a their "top" mechanic, I had to show they the actual jeep manual to get them to believe me. I also brought it in for the radio, which they just ordered a new one (so still broken) and then my center console lock does not stay in the console (pulls fully out) every time i put a key in. They stated they "fixed" it. Well 5 mins after I left, that was easy to see they did nothing.

Best part is the service manager's phone call a couple days later. He basically reemed me out for giving them a bad survey. Then he asked me "why would you even want to come back to us" I said "I really didn't want to, but would give them a second chance". Before I could finish the sentence he cut me off and said "Well I don't want to help a customer who doesn't want to come back so"...I interrupted him at that point and said "you just made my decision then" and hung up. The best part of this conversation was him informing me that I was the very first person to bring this to their attention and that they will be letting all the mechanics know. So they confirmed, any jeep that has been there, has been overfilled.

They are without a doubt, the worst customer service I have dealt with in years. Not once were they apologetic. I felt like I was a child getting yelled at by my parents or some crap.

Before Jeep Cares messages me, I've already sent this to the top of the FCA chain and it was dealt with. However, this guy is still employed there so be forewarned.

Avoid Ramsey Jeep, in Ramsey, NJ, on 17. Sales is poor and Service Department very bad.. Avoid Ramsey Jeep like the plague..

I have had really good experiences with Welsh Jeep in Far Hills. Small family shop + dealership that has been around years.

Got an answer if this is still a thing. Got mine at WJCD - Shrewsbury, NJ. It is a trip down from the NYC area where I am at, but it was some of the best salesman ship I have gone through. My wife and I took a test drive on our own because our salesman locked the passenger seat forward and he didn't fit in the back. Going back down for plates was easy. They are relatively out of they way so even on Saturday's they aren't busy like Ramsey/Rt17 which are horrible! If i do have any warranty work I'll be heading down there - 0 issues 8k miles and 4 months in. Fingers crossed.

I've never had issues with Hudson Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Jersey City or Nielsen in East Hanover.
It's mostly been for scheduled maintenance or warranty repairs though.

Do not go to Fullerton either. I had my diff fluid changed there once and the tech didn't even put the bolt all the way back in on the rear diff. I got 100 miles away and I saw smoke coming out from the back of my Jeep, pulled over and got out to look and the back was covered with a mist diff fluid and it was burning off my exhaust. Bunch of inept idiots.

Don't go to global in 22. They broke my windshield during a standard oil change.

I had a good initial experience with Buhler in Hazlett and they have a Customer First award. I just had a routine maintenance and the V41 recall done, but they did it all quickly and correctly.
