I loved the suggested forum fixes.
Get the ov tune or what ever it was to reprogram the shift points or what ever it was supposed to do.
Go to Amazon and buy seat jackers to raise the seat up to make a more comfortable seating position.
Gripe 1, someone shouldn’t have to spend money to reprogram the computer on a $36k+ truck and second I’m not buying some cheap Chinese made crap to reposition the seat and compromise the safety of the vehicle.
Agreed. I refused to pay for a $800 tune to fix a poorly calibrated transmission, and risk the dealer voiding my warranty.

I did try jacking up the seat but it didn't fix anything. If I got close enough to reach the pedals I had to stretch my arms like a chimpanzee to reach the steering wheel; if I got close enough to reach the steering wheel I had my legs bent against the pedals. Very weird ergonomics, indeed.

Yes, me too. The powertrain and the seating position SUCKED! Otherwise it was a great truck.

Loved my 2021 Taco for the 7 months I owned it. Love my Jeep significantly more.

Curious to see one of these in person. My biggest problems with the Taco were the transmission (no surprise) and the crap fuel economy with stock 31’s.

My JL gets better fuel economy with 35’s than my Tacoma did and that’s just ridiculous considering the lack of aerodynamics. Normally fuel economy is not a major factor, but that’s tough to ignore.

Also hope this truck comes with at least 33’s factory for the TRD Pro. You had to chop the frame on the 3rd Gen to fit 33’s well and I also found that ridiculous.

Best part about the TRD Pro was the shocks. They were amazing off road! Super fun to drive fast through the whoops, but that’s not really my off-road driving style anymore.

If this is a big improvement in those areas, I would consider a lower trim as a daily so I can justify dumping more money into my JL.

Joining in on the Taco photos. Despite the crappy trans, I miss my truck. Saw the western half of the US in it, tons of trails, road trips, and lifelong memories.

Taco bros will be here shortly to explain to you why drums are akshually superior to discs.
They are superior, they work their way out of adjustment then you never have to change the shoes. ;)

I think it looks great. The new Tundra looks very good and I see a ton of those design cues working into the Tacoma.
