Ran into the Wrangler JL prototype Thursday and was able to snap some pics.

It seems like this one red mule is everywhere. There's going to be other colors right?? :cwl:

Were you able to get a look at the interior? Did you see the dash?

Those look like steel wheels. Maybe still standard steel wheels on base model?

No running boards either.

We see this extra vertical camouflage again behind the other C-pillar.

Seeing it multiple times on opposite sides on possibly different mules, means it is intentional.

What else could it be hiding, if not a release for the rear window, as rendered laterally beneath that window on the renders depicting the roof with the three sunroof panels? I know the Nissan Xterra and some crew cabs have vertical handles, what other vehicles feature a vertical handle on door/window/etc ?

I noticed that too, and that piece of camo actually seems to be tucked back under that black section of paneling, making it look like it's not the continuous solid piece on the current JK, and appears to have been removed and hastily replaced in this photo causing the wrap to bunch up like that, either that or it started to peel (like some on the other side in the other photo) and they needed to tuck it in to keep it from coming completely off from flapping.

Either way, seems to point to a design component at that section.

It seems like they might be hiding the lower right 'angle' design, as shown in the renders. Although this wasn't on previous mules, they may have added it later.

Hey, new here, i have seen this red mule (M59 & I-75) and possibly another mule (Huron St & Elizabeth Lake Road in Waterford) within the last week during daylight hours that have yellow incandescent light in the fenders (where we have previously seen white LED lights in the past). Can anyone comment on weather or not we will see LEDs or boring incandescent bulbs.

I was not able to see inside, we were traveling at 70mph when these photo's were taken.

The fender vent in this white JL render looks really nice! The "leaked" images with the side vent that seems to "run into" the top side of the fender flair looks very strange. Not feeling that at all! I hope that's wrong.

Our earlier JLU renderings featured a fender vent based on descriptions and speculation, but the fender vent design in leaked JLU images is now accurate.

Thanks for confirming accuracy. I have a 6 speed manual 2014 JK. Due to issues with my left foot, I need to get an automatic. I'm thrilled that the JK and JL will overlap for about 6 months so I can decide for sure, but right now, an automatic JK is in my future. Who knows what will happen with the mid model refresh for the JL in about 5 years, maybe a new JL for me in 5 years or so. :)
