When going from stock 7.5-44mm to 8.5-1mm wheels adding ~1.7” past center should I expect camera/ warning issues. (Marginal at math, my # could be off) If so— how did you correct it ?

Good possibility, if it is any help mine are 0 offset and I can see the wheel in my camera. It also sets off the reverse proximity sensors.

Not the answer I was hoping for, but thanks, you haven’t tried any correction ?

Try rotating the spare tire so the air valve is at 12 o'clock. There is a chance it's some interference between the proximity sensors and the TPMS sensor/system. It fixed mine when I put higher offset wheels and 37's on.

Your best best will probably be to swap out the tire carrier for the adjustable Teraflex one. With my 20x9 (-12) wheel and 35.1" tire, I was able to fit it nice and snug against the original rubber bumpers without any modifications. I originally had the tire in the middle mounting position, which tucked it nicely into the bumper cutout and gave great visibility out of the back window, but it was setting off my backup sensors. I moved it up to the higher position (each moves ~1.5") and that fixed it. I'm hoping that when I change out from the plastic bumper that I'll be able to reorient the sensors a bit so that I can move it back down to the middle.

The Teraflex carrier also has a slightly longer camera mount and gives a great view. I've attached a pic showing what I see. The red line that I drew along the concrete seam is 20" away, having put a level against the outermost point of my tire and dropping straight down.

Good Solution fitting both pro and con. Con’s expense and work. I got light 59 lb 35/12.50 Toyo’s to simply bolt on the $150 Teraflex relocation brackets, weight equal to the factory MT, with the lighter wheels the combo weight equal to stock KO2’s. . Pro’s- should work great , tuck the tire back, plus the camera and 37’s possible next tires. :headbang:

I'm assuming this will pull the spare in towards the body? I added the Teraflex carrier here... stopped the false positives. I have 9" wheels as well... filled out the fenders. No issues with the side mounts. I'm considering 37"s next but ... this combo weighs less than my 33" stockers. Think I'd rather be quick than meaty here.

Just the plastic carrier replacing the stock one ? I don’t see reinforcement. If so, it could be my best option. ?

You asked about cameras too I think originally... lol Bourbon talk tonight. Apologies.

Yes I did the Teraflex adjustable carrier without the upgraded hinge since I'm not exceeding the stock hinge 100# limit here. Camera works fine as do the backup sensors since you can pull the spare back up to the tailgate irregardless of wheel offset. I better not respond to anything else until tomorrow lol.

Perfect— wasted $150 on featherweight Teraflex brackets to move the stock one after wasting $75 on a 15lb RC plate that’s still in the garage. :crying: ? also other unused parts in the garage , amazing how I do that ? ???????? when I impulse order .? Thanks- problem solved ? joining you- probably order something stupid in a while:idea:

I'm running the Teraflex adjustable carrier with the Mopar reinforcement but not using the Mopar relocation brackets since they're no longer needed. My combo is 94#. If I had the steel bumper I think I could run the middle holes with the wheel pulled in tight, but the plastic bumper isn't allowing that because I can't adjust the sensors and am getting constant backup sensor warnings with nothing behind me. The BLIS system still works fine though.

If you have the Mopar steel rear bumper and are getting warnings set off, you might first try reclocking the two center sensors so that they point down a bit more. The link below shows how to do it. If that doesn't work, then you'll need to move the tire up (and possibly in) a bit further.

More good info ? my combo will be 80 lbs, lighter than stock by a couple ?
