Stock suspension. Waiting for the Mopar tire carrier to arrive in the mail since I hear a vibration from the tire carrier when driving at low speeds.
Good looking rig ! what are the specs of your wheel, offset and backspacing?

You have to be rubbing like crazy, 33x12.50s and a -12mm offset and I am getting some rubbing on a stock sport s. Gotta start the plastic shedding now.

Is anyone running 35s with a manual transmission on a Sport/Sahara? With/Without lift? I have 33s on mine and it doesn't have a lot of guts on the highway. I am wondering if the 35s are worse.

If it already feels lackluster to you, then bigger tires will definitely make it worse. Big tires is one of the main reasons why Wrangler's MPG is so poor aside of aerodynamics

Is there a difference with the sport and the unlimited? -12 is plenty of room on the unlimited.

Im running the metal cloak 3.5 game changer sport with front drive shaft included...
37s on 17s and wheeled it last weekend no rubbing yet knock on wood...
It has the Rubicon Steel bumpers option with LEDs and also the heavy duty Tire carrier sorry I snapped a pic of cell booster but its there...lol
I extended the thrid brake light up to the top single bolt hole but I think they disconnected it from dealer...Ill check tomorrow or next time I rotate the tires...
Added Stinger bar option it doesnt stick up as far as the rugged ridge one does but if I lean up a bit I can see it for reference point...
I have to say most of all im quite impressed with the amount of drop this rig has like I stated 37s and look how far down the drop thats with sway bars still connected disconnected it drops a tad more...

And of course I removed the rear sway bars to allow more flex for jeep... :)

^this guy was whining about rubbing just 2 days ago, threads not even cool yet

now he’s showing you his 35s like he has been riding for years like this .

Proceed with caution

This is how misinformation spreads.

For the hundredth time 35s aren’t meant for non lifted sports/Sahara. Some people do it but it is an incorrect fitment, like wearing your dads shoes when you were five.
Well it's been over a year:CWL:

Hey guys,
Do you think 315-70-17 on standard stock Rubicon rims would fit fine/ok on a JLU Sahara ? They’re not full on 35 (34.4 according to tire calculator) and was wondering if I would NEED a lift, tailgate reinforcement, or even regearing...?!
And other than what’s needed, what would you recommend ? (Lift of course I assume....)
And what about MPGs ?
I’d like feedback, based on experience, rather than grumpy old guys assumption ;)
Thanks

this looks incredible. I picked up the same rims last week for my JL, except they were 18" rims. I'm hoping to get tires on Tuesday. I've really been on the fence between 33's and 35's. This is my 3rd jeep, and every time I go to the larger tires and rims, my power and the drive and gas mileage tank. You have been driving on the 35's for awhile now, what is your honest opinion on the handling taking it up from stock? I do alot of driving here in Texas and i'm loving the way my JL handles, just not loving the wheels and tires. Thanks so much for your help. It looks awesome.
What’s the offset on your rims?

Picked up some BFGs 33x12.5 MTs last week. They fit really well on the stock 17x9. Debating on the Mopar lift.

Forgive the noob question, but is a re-gear necessary if youre increasing your wheel setup? or only if you lift it?
