What is everyone seeing, if anything, in terms of new features with this 40.1 update? Other than things being a bit peppier, I'm not really seeing anything different. I know @Rhinebeck01 mentioned some new theme options, but I don't see any that look like they are new. There was also another post here from JeepCares that mentions "update was released to upgrade to the 40.1 version in order to restore/sign up for Hotspot service ".

I definitely got the "sign up for Hotspot service" on my main app page now. I didn't even know this Jeep had a hot spot before the update. The netwok is named "INFIDEL_FU" and the password is generic. The previous owner must have had it set up. I saw other posts about the hot spot but I never could find it on this one. As soon as the update was finished, it the network signal strength appeared. I thought that was odd. I wonder if this is like the Onstar and hot spot on my Chevy dually and I can link it to my current ATT account?

Did your Climate screen look like this before the 40.1 update. Mine did not.... it was a bit different .
Also, my "Controls" screen look different.

My b/u camera icon is now different...

The climate control icons, camera icons, and a few other UI tweaks were done with 28.3 or so, around the time the Gladiator came out. You probably just didn't notice. I think the reason for the huge version leap between that and 39.x was the incorporation of the Hybrid Electric Pages for the 4xe.

I hear ya.... but for whatever reason my backup camera icon has always been as pictured below.... and just changed with the 40.1 update..

I noticed the new b/u camera icon immediately yesterday..

I think it might have been in 39.6 or the last over the air update with the emergency vehicle warning but I think I remember seeing it in 39.6.

At this point, we've all assumed the futility of expecting any kind of real change log notification accompanying software updates. So, whenever some new feature gets added, unless we make a point to go through every single setting, its easy to miss new functionality. One would think Stellantis would've made a point to announce there was a fix for what had been one of the major annoyances with the software since 2018.

My backup icon looks like this and I am on 39.6. You guys are making me consider upgrading, even though my unit is bug free. If I do, I’ll report back what my icons look like.

I just upgraded mine from 39.6 to 40.1 just for giggles and to be current. Mine's an upgrade from the factory 7". So far not seeing any major differences (not expecting any either).
