This is no knock on Jeep but the tires they equipped my new Snazzy JL were not the best for my area. Unfortunately running an M/T tire in sand is like handing a shovel to each tread block and telling them to dig to the hardpan underneath.
Almost immediately after the new Jeep purchase I was on the hunt for a different tire, preferably in an A/T, with a bit more width and height. And I found 'em.
After some research I chose a set (+1 for the spare) of Toyo Open Country A/T III tires in a 285/75R17. I'd like to thank Matt @Discount Tire for his world class customer service in putting the deal together, coordinating the logistics and order process, then reaching out to my local store to warn them I was on the way. Seriously, I have been a long time customer of Discount Tire and all my purchase & service interactions with them have been awesome.
I know...need some pictures, eh? OK, here they are:
