First:
I am putting on the Yakima Rack that mounts to the gutter - 150 pounds is the weight limit.
If I put a padded block or something in between the roll bar and the roof would that give me extra support and allow some more pounds? for like a roof tent or for people to sit up there?
I know some old racks would drill through hard top and mount to roll bar but I don't want to do that. I am just wondering if some sort of blocks would help? Like wrap a wood block in some black foam?
Second:
This one is probably asked a lot so sorry in advance...
What is the MPG difference when putting on the Mopar 2" lift and 35's.
I commute in my Rubicon a bit for work and wheel on the weekends so trying to find a good balance. I am not a rock crawler but more of an overland style with rough washed out forest service roads.
I have a warn winch and front bumper on its way and probably the rear bumper once they have it ready - I am worried the extra weight will lower the jeep and I will wanted it raised up a little.
