I’m at 450 miles with numerous heat and cool cycles, is that good enough to call it done or should I go the full 500. @chevymitchell what do you think?

Oh yeah. I’d go ahead and change the the fluid.

I’d leave the front diff alone until you get some wheeling time or heat cycles put into it.

I drove to Illinois, found really long and straight roads, and drove in 4 high keeping the wheel straight to get a little break in on my front gears.

(Do not engage 4wd in any curves as the front will bind up due to the outside and inside tire spinning the same speed which is wrong in the turns on asphalt.)

I did this twice over the course of 45 mins, varying the speed and light load a little, and finally giving the front about 15 to cool at 55mph. I drove about 45-50 mph in those miles. I plan on a wheeling day trip the 5th for the final heat put into them. The shop said they drove around some too but they were in town and there’s no gravel/dirt roads nearby.

I couldn’t do this back home in the hills of Ky. Very few straight roads long enough to make it worthwhile.
