Hi, I'm still getting used to taking off/putting my doors back on and I'm not sure it's sitting right? There seems to be a gap in the plastic part where the wires are and I'm not sure if that was always the case and I just didn't notice or if I put the doors on wrong somehow. Thank you!

Yup, you’re good. I have yet to take my doors off of my new JL, and that’s exactly what mine looks like, so I don’t think you’ve lost any parts. :)

That's about right. They don't fly off. I've even forgotten to put them back in and they sat on the floorboard and didn't fly out.

Exactly what the previous post says. Even if you pop them out, there should be a short plastic rope that ensures the trim piece stays attached to the pillar.
