I'm submitting my order tomorrow and had a question about how reliable delivery dates are once you get towards the finish line. Like is there a "Shipping on xx/xx date? I have to buy airfare and the further out you have the better. Just looking for how reliable dates are.

I hate to break it to you but you’ll be overpaying for airfare.

Because I get like 3 days notice? Or the delivery date is a couple weeks out. From there I can book a flight that is a few days past delivery just in case the delivery is late.

I bought mine off of the lot, but have seen a ton of posts about delivery dates getting moved.

Tough to answer that without knowing more info. If by truck, it is way more accurate than if by rail. There are posts that will help you know if your dealer gets then by truck or rail. I'm in AZ, so it's by rail, and the time of the train was longer than anticipated.

I had to rebook my airfare 4 times due to the FCA shipping bullshit you see below. Instead of my original $59 I ended up spending $164 for my ticket because I didn't want to wait another 2 weeks after it finally arrived at the dealer.

This spring, I'll wait until it hits the lot before I book my ticket.

Should have mentioned I'm ordering from Gupton
@Abramovich - I'm in Peoria. Not sure how they get their vehicles.
@LuvYella - When did you first receive your delivery window. I see on the first email 8/24 that the window started 8/24. Or did you get an initial window a couple weeks out?

What you see is what I got.

I fly Southwest so I was able to rebook for only the fare difference, which at the time was substantial booking anything under 2 weeks out.

Gupton gets their Jeeps via direct truck from Toledo. They tell me its usually about a 9 hour trip.
