I think only the 8.4 uconnect system has GPS tracking capabilities. And, anyone professional enough to steal the key then come back for it later had that thing in a shipping container before the dealer even knew it was gone.

Could be an inside job. No key gets "stolen" without someone knowing where it is and how to get to it. I've been to plenty of dealers and the keys are behind closed LOCKED doors probably in a safe somewhere, not easy to get to.

I heard a story once, so it may or may not be valid, about a car thief that would go to dealerships and pretend to be a new employee. He'd go first thing in the morning, hang around for awhile, and then when lunch time came he'd ask if he could get anyone lunch, grab the keys to the vehicle he wanted, and drive away, never to return. By the time the dealership realized he wasn't coming back, he and the car were long gone. I wonder if that's true or just an urban legend?

New jeep is in transit as of right now, I don't think there is a fast track order. if I get it this week then it would take the same time the first order took about 3-4 weeks. hopefully it gets here soon!

Dealer near me had 12-14 vehicles stolen in one shot. Theft ring was getting blank keys from eBay or whatever, had an insider at the dealer swapping out real key fobs with blank keys. Then they came in one night & drove away a bunch of new vehicles. From what I heard, the only person who got caught was the dealership insider since he was on camera in the key lockbox.

How are the tires noise wise?

mine came with the falkens and I have to say the noise with prem soft top is quiter then my 16' jk hardtop Goodrich tires. I'm loving everything about them/it ATM.

I know some people on this forums and jeep drivers in general love there specific brand tires and everything else sucks but for the hate that I have been hearing about the falkens, I couldn't be more happier they seem bigger then the JL Goodrich tires and quiter from using my old JK as reference to noise.
