Very interesting - the new Mopar steel bumper has d-rings for towing. This would put the towed load on the stock frame end plates, so they must think that this is a safe setup for towing the Jeep.

Maximus 3 makes tow hooks for D rings for the front and rear bumpers, if you're interested. They look pretty much identical to the bumper loops that were linked
