Hi all, Jim here, nice to meetcha!
Last week we picked up a cool '19 Rubicon. Got lucky as hell on this one. It was new last October. Dealer used it for his service loaner!
So we got it with under 4500 miles, and saved $10k off sticker!
And we wanted Mojito!, and they are real hard to find.
I got 2 things on my immediate list that I'd love some input on.
First is a front bumper. We're going to tow it behind our motorhome using a Blue Ox towber. Rockhard offers brackets for our Blue Ox towbar, made to throughbolt to the frame horns with their bumpers.
I'm wondering if their are any other solutions? Or what solutions does anyone here have experience with?
I need this up and going in less than 3 weeks...
Second one is "sliders-running boards-steps." Wife, grandbabies, and dogs find it a real bitch to climb up there. I would prefer to keep the Rubicon factory sliders in place if possible, and absolutely would not buy anything that would leave that pinchweld visible. No Tubes. Good solid steps. Don't need no broken dog legs or grandbaby ankles. I read a terribly long thread on this that said little. Seems only one is from Ace, it's tubular, and the thread hasn't been updated since 2018 so there's bound to be some newer solutions.
