It's a simple matter of keeping the rpm's up. The 3.6 is a higher rpm tuned motor. That makes it kinda gutless at low rpm's. A lugging load will cause misfires, popping, drivetrain rattles, and other unwanted results of forcing the engine to work below its effective working range.
