I know many people (particularly expats) who’ve lived in the city for a dozen years and have never ventured outside of a 50 miles radius. I think it works well for all parties involved - Upstaters and Westerners aren’t exactly eager to see too many city folks wandering around
I must confess that while I’m starting to know the Hudson Valley / Catskills region reasonably well I don’t know your neck of the woods at all. Maybe I’ll embark on a NY State roadtrip at some point once I get my JL!

I ordered a JLU Sport S and it went to body vendor on 8/22. I'm in central NY but dealer is in lower Hudson Valley. Maybe they'll be on the same train.Ordered 5/17. VIN next day.

Finally built and moved to I on 8/6.
Out of I and shipped to body vendor on 8/20.
Fervently hoping I’ll get it by Labor Day, but I’m not holding my breath...
... And yes, in case you were wondering I ordered a Turbo and apparently a few « hard to get » options (LED, headliner etc) hence the slooooooow progress. Good things come to those who wait!
