You probably should crawl back into the snowflake pile you crawled out of. A toyota should be in your future immediately and then that will be the end of these world threatening problems. The Tranny shifts Weird? What the heck kind of details is that? Air vents loose? What's that mean? And obviously if you're a mechanic and you can't figure out how to release the forward stuck seat....well perhaps you should also change professions...maybe rocket science or neurology, something more challenging. I've had Toyotas that have had issues that annoyed the hell out of me but simple fixes and they didn't spoil my life nor did they bring me to calling them POS. I would buy another if the right occasion presented itself.Well, we were going to leave this morning for a Jeep trip up to Mingus mountain, but the right side passenger seat stuck full forward. Instead l drove it to the dealership, they said to bring it back Monday, the glove box is broken the air vents are loose the tranny shifts weird, itās a piece of crap! The only good thing is it reminds me of why I started buying Toyotaās back in the 90ās, anyone interested in a good deal on a 18 JL 2 door less than 3k miles ?
Hi Ghuzz,Thanks for that! The wife is taking it in today we will see how that goes. I can give you details if you would like? Thanks!
Well some people can smile while being screwed, I can't. I have a 2018 4Runner too, My Jeep isn't even close when it comes to quality. From being a mechanic I've learned that a seat is a pretty important thing on a vehicle. The air vents spin. Like a top. Like a cheap junk toy. The tranny shifts to 8th, back to 7th up to 8th back to 7th, with no codes set, you know ... funny. Thing about my Jeep is I brought it (34K worth) for having fun in on my weekend, not a daily driver. When it poops on my fun, i don't like it much. You probably should crawl back into the snowflake pile you crawled out of. My Bentley has been far from perfect but I understand that humans still were involved....guess what that means.
Lighten up!
Agreed, warranty work is a hassle, just asking a question. It wasnāt an easy fix. Itās covered by a warranty and has 2700 miles on it. Truth is Iāll end up taking the seats out and clean and lube them, I just donāt feel I should have to.
If they make it right , Im all good with that, I want to be a Jeep fan!Sorry to hear about you misfortune with the 2018 JL 2 door. I have the same amount
of miles on the same vehicle and no problems to date except for an inept dealership I wouldn't even allow to change the oil / Filter even though it would be free. When I had to complain to the dealership regarding a minor issue. I gave up and sent a letter to FCA as well as the dealership (same letter). FCA called within a week and because of my issue they paid for my next payment ($425.00), Vehicle is now payed off. They also forward a local FCA representative info. which they said would address Anya nd all issues. I have the standard trans, fortunately no problems and shifts as well as my old 2005 Honda S2000
If this is as bad as it gets, it won't be too bad ...Agreed, warranty work is a hassle, just asking a question.
Nope! My 4dr Sahara was a POS and is now someone elseās problem. Problems started at 7000 miles. I now own a better built vehicle. So long Jeep. Thank God.Shoulda bought a 4 door! I'm at 23,712 miles in 353 days. Not one issue
Our brand new Mercedes M-Class SUV from several years ago visited the dealership about 12 times over 2 years for some major problems. Although it was covered under warranty, it was still a headache and a major inconvenience. However, on my new 2019 Jeep Wrangler JLU Rubicon, with the exception of a dimmer switch that did not function properly and was replaced within 2 days after purchase, my Jeep has not had any other issues requiring repairs. After a break-in period of only 317 miles, my wife and I drove cross country in our new Jeep with a 2,000 lbs U-Haul trailer in tow over a 7 day period while adding 2,580 miles to the odometer. All the mechanical and electronic components on the vehicle operated superbly, i.e., as designed and intended. I hope that those Jeep Wrangler owners whom are having problems get full resolution in the near term, but please keep in mind that luxury brands also have problems, not just Jeeps. My wife's $85K Audi Q7 had to go into the shop a few times, as has my A4. We got a brand new Toyota when we got married...thirteen trips to the dealer later (in less than two months) and it was returned. Point is...all vehicles have some sort of issue sometimes. Air vents and glove boxes seem like very minor things. Maybe our seat is an issue also, I don't know, as we put it in a place where it's comfortable and leave it. We bought Wranglers...not G Wagons.
now you know, now I know... shouldn't be like that.I had that same issue with my 2019 2-door. I was vacuuming it out one day and moved the passenger seat all the way forward. I wasn't able to slide it back. I had to get in and sit on the seat, which wasn't easy to do with it all the way forward, and then pull the latch while pushing with all my weight to get it to slide back. I don't go all the forward anymore...
Iāll join you along with my new Land Cruiser after getting rid of my POS Wrangler JL.Will do!
Go to a Chevy service department at 7 am and watch the line of agree people there vent to the service writer about their piece of crap, then go to a Toyota service department. Big difference.I'm going to let everyone in on a little secret on How To Buy The PERFECT Vehicle...
Purchase new vehicles only from factory dealerships that don't have a service department. No service department means their vehicles don't have any problems.
If a dealership has a service department, it means they expect to fix problems.
Simple.
BTW, I have not found one yet. Shocking as it may be, Honda and Toyota dealerships have service departments.
Land cruiser? WOW! don't forget to bring your wallet!Iāll join you along with my new Land Cruiser after getting rid of my POS Wrangler JL.
Don't forget to read the small print on that warranty, so you won't be surprised when they tell you "sorry that's not covered"That right there is why I'm keeping this Jeep for a l l l o o o n n n g g g time! I did snag one of the lifetime warranties. While I knew the first time I drove this JLUR that I'd always have a Jeep in the stable, the (no-longer-available) lifetime warranty is what will keep THIS one in the garage until the wheels fall off (would that be covered under warranty??? LOL).
