Happy Saturday Night!

We had 5 jeeps today. There was a Jeep at the Walmart, but no one was in it. I hope I didnt leave you behind.

We had a blast at RC today! We did a bunch of Black trails. A dude from Delaware Jeep drove of a cliff! Steve @DonBucket is a great spotter!
I'll look through my dash cam in the next few days and upload to YT.

Here are some pics from today.

All clean!

Have a great night.

How in the heck did he drive off a cliff? I like that tailgate table you got. What brand is that?

Happy Sunday Folks.

It was another hot one here in Central Jersey. I took the kiddo to Long Branch Beach. It wasnt terribly packed when we went after lunch. Oddity of nature though. There were tons of mussels washed up and a billion drowned mid sized ants. The birds were happy. I should have taken a picture, but I dont trust myself with a phone near the water. LOL

To answer CJ's @Stuckinthesand question. This older person has gone off a cliff two times prior. He has a very capable vehicle but lacks in judgement. We were headed in the back end of "Camel's Back" He went straight instead of making a right. We ended up winching him off the tree by the passenger roll cage and he drove out while we gave him slack on the winch.

The only other carnage we had was also on Camel's Back, a guy had a hi-lift jack catch a tree and it bent the jack and carrier.

#2. The tail gate tray is a Suparee off AMZ for @ $100.

My new Next Venture skids will replace my Rancho ones. Ranchos have some scuffs, but still very functional. Hit me up if you want them. (Free)

I posted some short dashcam video on YT at the end hill climb on the "Cemetery". It's crappy compared to the footage you'll see from Mischief Maker of the same trail earlier this month. She was at AoAA last week. Good video on the "Mammoth"

Have a great night and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Monday night.

I was a bit lazy today because of the weather.
I unboxed the Next Venture rear diff skid. Very beefy.

I'll get a can of Rustoleum and paint it tomorrow.

FYI. The RCVs are a game changer. No bind whatsoever in 4 or when the front was locked.

Have a great night. Thanks for stopping by.

Just uploaded.
Trail was tight and the bigger rocks were in the middle of the trail. Argh.

Happy Tuesday Night.
Sorry for the late post.

I was out rattle canning all the new scrapes and noticed my tie rod end was bent. An email to RPM and within 15 minutes, they stated they will replace it and to send the old one back for their analysis. Very refreshing to see that type of CS.

I also painted the new rear diff skid. I'll swap it tomorrow.

What did you use to paint the skid? I have the Rancho and it’s the only thing red in my Jeep. Would love to paint it black.

Happy Wednesday night folks! or Hump day for you all working folk.
Its just "trash take out" day for me. LOL

With the kiddo out of school. I have been only spending an hour or so on the Jeep. I am still working out the kinks in mounting my Falcon Nexus EF dampener on the high end of the tie rod. I thought I figured it out, but its hitting the front diff cover at full driver's side lock. I may have to scrap the Falcon and go with something else that has two eyelets or keep it on the low side. I will mess with it some more and try to incorporate the 2in clam shell clamp I have.

Steve @DonBucket is planning another outing to Rausch Creek in the middle of July. He likes to wheel on Fridays. If youre available, hit him up.

The Next Venture rear skid dried very shiny. I will try to put it on once I figure out the dampener issue.

Have a great night. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Thursday night!

I spent the day entertaining the kiddo and had a few minutes to cut a corner off the dampener bracket and slightly rotate that tie rod end up. It appears everything is clearing at full lock at both ends. Not sure how it will respond to flexed conditions.

I'll try to get the rear skid swapped out tomorrow.

Tentatively, I may head out to Rausch Creek on July 16. I dont believe my bent tie rod will be a problem driving on. Hopefully RPM will send out a new one before then.

I'd gotten good at dialing in my alignment. I may add just a tad of caster by adjusting the lower control arms. The magnetic angle finder should be here by the weekend.

I hope all of you folks are having a great night and enjoying your Jeeps.

I may take the kiddo to the beach tomorrow as it will be in the 90s again.

Have a great night.

Happy Friday night Jeep peeps.

I got the Next Venture skid on. It wasnt too bad. As you can see in the pics, I duct taped the nut retaining plate in place and had to jack up the front end after starting all the diff cover bolts. I cleaned and painted up the old Rancho skid. (I had some Charcoal paint) Yours free for pick up.

Old.
