Happy Friday, folks.

A beautiful day today!

I stripped the OEM Advantek rear D44 axle. The splines were straight on the Dana Spicer chromoly axle shafts.
I swapped in new parking brake pads and removed the control arms. It is ready for pick up.
The original buyer backed out and the next person is in line for an amazing deal.

I will be posting it for $1600 in general without the Next Venture diff skid if the 2nd buyer is out and I dont sell to a regular here.

This is what you'll get. The rear D44 axle tube with 4:88s, Dana Spicer chromoly shafts, opt. Next Venture full diff skid, Rancho shock/lower control arm skids, rear brake rotor/parking pads minus the parking brake assembly.

Enjoy the pics.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great night.

Zeke

Threw the 37’s on to check clearance. Not bad I think I’m going with a 2” lift to keep it simple.

Happy Saturday night, Folks.

I started the rear long arms today. I cut and grinded down the old brackets, rattle canned the bare frame and roughly mounted the new bracket. The MC instructions are a bit confusing since there is a part not in my kit. You guys know I'll make it work though. 😁

The two axle buyers bailed. I listed it in the "for sale" section and on FB marketplace.

Thats all I have. Enjoy the two pics.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great night.

@19 JLUR Bright Whit3 I was in the Garage all day as well... Working on the Failed Ball joints, and upgrading Ball Joints and Knuckles.

When I got in there I found out that the Ball Joint SEVERELY FAILED... In-fact it sheared right off....

I decided to go with the American Iron Ball Joint Deletes and Reid Knuckles.

Process is taking a while, but I am getting through it. Looking forward to getting it all complete. Instructions are all written... I like pictures, but I think I got it figured out.

I re-read this post, and saw this pic. What kept it together after that, just the axle and upper balljoint?

On my end, I took advantage of the warm weather today and did an oil change on my wife's JLU, along with a new air filter and cabin filter. Just turned 37K miles on it, and we'll have it five years in May. My son and I keep trying to convince her to let us swap in some Rubi springs and shocks when it needs new tires. :)

Happy Monday night folks.

Look what showed up today. They are the CavFab rock guards. I am not too impressed at the packaging, but I am positive, I'll need to modify the frame brackets with the MC long are kit install.
Unpackaging and install will have to wait.

I'm about 75% done with the rear. I need to drill a few holes before moving onto the new axle assembly.

@DonBucket , what does your axle shaft splines look like? I am willing to sell you my chromoly shafts from my rear axle and the Next Venture diff skid if youre interested.

Thats all I have.

Have a great night and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Wednesday night, Jeep Peeps.

We're having some awesome weather in Central Jersey. It got very close to 70°. This warmness is tricking my perennials. They're starting to come through. 😲

I vacuumed some leaves and took care of some landscaping. I didnt want stay in the garage.

I finished up the cutting and grinding of the old brackets. Rattle canned the bare metal.

I have the driver's side new long arm backet in place and shimmied it because I was missing a plate. As of now, the new rock sliders may still work with little modification.

Tomorrow, I'll fit the passenger bracket, adjust the control arms to length and slide the axle in place.
Hopefully by the weekend, I can trim the OEM gas skid and have it in place. I will still need to figure out how to get my MC skids on too.

I'm sure a motivated Jeeper can do all of this in a long weekend, but I've been spending an hour or two each day on this project.

Thats it for today.

Enjoy the pics.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great night.

Happy Saturday Night, Folks.

Both sides of the rear brackets are on with the rear arms adjusted to the recommended starting lengths. Next will be to reattach the gas tank with a few modifications. Then the new axle, followed by the skids with some cutting and lastly the rock sliders with more mods.

I only took one pic.

Have a great night and thanks for stopping by.

Zeke.

Love the progress man!

I think long arms are the way to go really. I look forward to your thoughts after wheeling with them. 🍻

Awesome, Steve. @DonBucket They look great.
For those that are curious on pricing, the deletes (rebuildable) fall in between the Teraflex rebuildable ones and the Dynatrac rebuildable ones. The new Metalcloak ones are as much as the Dynatracs, but are too new to assess and there may be some clearance issues. All great options to replace those plastic sleeved OEM ones.
I would stay away from the non rebuildable ones like Synergy, Apex, DV8 or OEM Mopar/Dana Splicer ones. Removing and pressing in new ball joints at failure will take a toll on your inner "C"s. My $.02.
