Here's another picture. It has an unpainted spot that perhaps had a bolt or spot weld.

⚠ CAUTION! That discoloration is indicative of the passenger seat disgronafacator’s unobtanium core leaking. Secure to it’s inadvertently removed mount and reinstall immediately! Failure to do so could result in unanticipated passenger seat EJECTION ❗

that looks like a jack hold down bracket.... for a truck. Nothing that belongs to your Jeep.

I just found a little metal box piece under my passenger's seat on my 23 4xe last week. It looks like one of the handheld square pencil sharpeners. 🤔

Throw it in your tool box. It’s an engineering trick called “adding lightness”. If you throw it away, chances are you will find out exactly what it’s for and will not be able to find another one.

It may be a bracket that limits front seat travel (fore / aft) on the seat track.

I’m going to guess it is either:
a suppository inserter,
or a hanger bracket for the powder coat line n the Jeep factory.

The jack on mine is locked in by itself. No bracket I am aware of.

It could be a bracket used on the production line and accidentally left behind. Maybe checking qc or something like that at completion.

I appreciate all of the carefully thought out responses. They truly represent what I've come to expect from the Jeep community. However, and this might surprise some, you were all wrong (edit: except calemasters). I found the equivalent piece on the driver's side seat bracket that was missing from the passenger's side. See photos for details. It was probably welded, but I'll just put it back with a bolt and nut. Thanks for the help.

Naaa, it can't be that. That would be too simple. Try again.
