It may be a bracket that limits front seat travel (fore / aft) on the seat track.

The turbo encabulator looks just like that but is made of unobtainium. There is no way to tell the difference without a complex chemical analysis. So I think you deserve credit for identifying said whatchamacallit part.

Glad you found where it goes. If you’ve got the handles, check out how similar the bracket is. When I posted I could only see the first pic.

I appreciate all of the carefully thought out responses. They truly represent what I've come to expect from the Jeep community. However, and this might surprise some, you were all wrong (edit: except calemasters). I found the equivalent piece on the driver's side seat bracket that was missing from the passenger's side. See photos for details. It was probably welded, but I'll just put it back with a bolt and nut. Thanks for the help.

Maybe loosen up a bit. Those ridiculous comments bump the thread back to the top likely allowing more responses, a quicker resolution, and maybe provide some levity as well.
