Glad you finally looked under both seats and saw where it went. That was going to be my response as I read the thread.

Congrats and Enjoy your Jeep and welcome to the forum. Ton's of knowledge on the forum if you need it.

Keep an eye out for the Jokers!

I thought for sure it was a bracket that held the Muffler Bearings in place.

I thought it was the turbo encabulator 😉
The turbo encabulator looks just like that but is made of unobtainium. There is no way to tell the difference without a complex chemical analysis. So I think you deserve credit for identifying said whatchamacallit part.

Lol, no, it isn't. Scroll up. It's been figured out. Your confidence answering though is amazing. ;)
Glad you found where it goes. If you’ve got the handles, check out how similar the bracket is. When I posted I could only see the first pic.

I appreciate all of the carefully thought out responses. They truly represent what I've come to expect from the Jeep community. However, and this might surprise some, you were all wrong (edit: except calemasters). I found the equivalent piece on the driver's side seat bracket that was missing from the passenger's side. See photos for details. It was probably welded, but I'll just put it back with a bolt and nut. Thanks for the help.

Glad you figured it out.

Looks like Jeep owes you a screw!

Don't worry. It's Jeep. I'm sure they'll figure out a way to screw me. ;)
You have the Jeep, their work here is done. Now the torch has been passed to the dealer service department.

It’s a bracket for grab handles. We had to install our own and the brackets are identical to that
Finally, a sensible answer to the question. Why people post ridiculous comments to someone that is genuinely looking for an answer has never made any sense to me whatsoever.

Maybe loosen up a bit. Those ridiculous comments bump the thread back to the top likely allowing more responses, a quicker resolution, and maybe provide some levity as well.
