I've owned 2 Wrangler Sports (2013 and 2016) in the past. Traded in the last one when our son was born and needed more space for his rear facing car seat. Now that he's forward facing I'm getting back where I belong.
I traded in my Silverado for a JLRU 4xe last Saturday. It's been hard to find what I was looking for and even harder to find a dealer willing to negotiate beyond the Tread Lightly discount. Finally struck a deal but was told the check engine light was on because the fuel door wouldn't release when the button was pressed. I verified this was an issue at the test drive. The part was already ordered and they said it would be in Wednesday and I could take the Jeep home Wednesday or today.
Unfortunately, the part didn't arrive Wednesday and they called today to say it had been elevated to "Off Road Status" which is apparently the highest priority Jeep gives or so the dealer told me. New estimated part delivery is 5/21 due to a national shortage. I really hope they are being honest with me and this is the only issue on a brand new Wrangler with 30 miles.
I've searched around and can't find anything about others having issues with the fuel door. Hoping this is resolved quickly and I'll post pics when the time comes.
