I was wonder about this product. I searched the forum only found 3 posts that even mention it, positive mentions. Any feedback pros, cons? I read that a lot of you you use and like fluid film but this seems to be a better alternative. The smell for sure. Brine season is just around the corner and while I don't intend on driving it much during the winter I would still like to protect it, just in case I have to go get someone unstuck. I have an 03 F150 FX4 for winter and the brine has taken its toll on it, and would like to not repeat the experience.

Thanks

Just had my new JL done last week. I also have my Chevy Silverado and my wife’s Subaru Outback done. I live in New Hampshire where they coat the roads with salt in the winter so I wanted undercoating. The NHOU product will seep into crevices and never dries so it won’t flake off. Just don’t pressure wash it because you will take it off.

1 warning about NH Oil Undercoating.... I'm installing a towplate for towing my JL behind my motorhome and a wiring harness that plug into the rear lights that connect to the motorhome for brake/signal lights on the JL while under tow. I had to run a 4 wire harness from the rear lights to the front for the plug that connects to the motorhome. I made the mistake of having the oil undercoating done before I ran the wires. I ended up looking like I lost a fight with an oil well. The NH Oil doesn't dry....and the Commander in Chief discovered that it doesn't wash out with normal laundry soap. If you're going to do anything under your rig do it before you undercoat!

Hey Captain,
I also live in NH and have been looking into this. You've had it through a couple winters now. How has it worked out? My 2021 JLU is rust-free and I'd like to keep it that way. When should I have this done, and where did you get it done? I appreciate it! Rust is the enemy!

I'm really happy with it. It never dries or hardens. My pickup continues to drip all summer long. The nice thing about it is that it's self healing as the oil will continue to seep. The only downside is you can't go through an automatic car wash with the undercarriage spray because it can wash it off if the pressure is too high. My Silverado is 4 years old and there isn't a spot of rust on it. It's my plow truck so it gets the most use in the winter when the roads are salt and snow covered. My JL is two years old and my wife's Outback is a 2014, absolutely no rust on either. All three of my vehicles are going back in for the annual application in September. My son had has Subaru BRZ done and he just bought a Gladiator that he's going to get done too. He did the more expensive product that is only for new vehicles and has only needs a touch up every two years. I'd do them all again with no problem.

Excellent! I'm going to get it done before winter then. I'm in Rochester. Do you have a place you recommend? Thanks!

I'm up in Ashland, I drove down to their corporate HQ in Chichester. That's also where they train vendors on how to apply it so they've got the most experienced crew there. It's all they do there. Some of the vendors only do one or two cars a week. This is their website: https://theruststoppros.com/ I'd call now because they book way in advance. I make my appointment for the next year when I finish getting my vehicles done for the current year.
