Going to pull the trigger on new diff covers to be changed out when I do 4.88's next month. Got it narrowed down to either AEV, Dana or ARB. I think each is top shelf and has good features. First world problems. haha

I think I like the ARB best because it has a drain plug which means I can have my shop do a small tack weld on the drain plug on the bottom of the axle. Those who don't know, the factory drain plug can be caught on a rock, turned and leak or lose all your gear oil on the trail. It's happened to me once already. Luckily only a leak.

I like the fabricated steel covers over the cast covers. Cast will crack with a hard impact while the steel will bend.

I chose to get front and rear Metalcloak differential covers.

I also prefer the steel plate covers, so long as they will clear the track bar. The housing has a drain plug, so the cover doesn't need one.
