I'm hoping someone can help me, I have a 2018 JL Sahara and having Mopar 2" lift installed next week. I want to order 17" wheels with 8.5"-8" width and 35" tires online. Any idea what offset I will need for the wheels? Mopar says a 12mm offset is needed with 8.5" wheel width.

If this is your every day driver I cannot recommend going with 35s. Re-gearing will be necessary, you will lose milage and power thru the overdrive gears. From my own changeover just going up 3/4 of a size I have noticed a difference. Good luck!

An 8.5" wide wheel with 0 offset will give you 4.75-inches of backspace which works great with the wider JL axles (compared to JK).

There are a lot of options to chose from in these dimensions - let us know if we can help you with a set.

all comes down to preference. Anything from probably +25mm of offset to -25mm of offset should work. That's roughly 2" of difference in offset from end to end on that spectrum. do you like wheels that stick out a lot - if so, something in the middle or towards the negative end would suit you. if you want something that sits inboard a bit more, something closer to +12mm to +25mm would work well. Even +25mm will bring the tire out almost an inch from stock.

you'll be fine with 35's on a Sahara, assuming you have the automatic. I have 37's on my Rubicon and it works great - I have hardly any desire for a regear. the car still doesn't use first gear a ton unless I bury the throttle from a stop (but I don't drive my Jeep that way). sure, I basically don't see 8th gear any more, but that doesn't matter (as 7th is essentially the same effective ratio with 37's). Jeep really engineered this 8 speed and its tuning to accommodate larger tires - it's awesome. Enjoy
