I want to upgrade my wheels and tires on my 2020 JL Sport S. I've got the tire part figured out, I'm going with Toyo Open Country ATIII in 285/70/17. My problem now is trying to figure out what I can do for wheels. I don't know anything about wheels. I do know that I really don't want the tires extending out past the fenders, I'm trying to avoid road rash on the sides of the JL from the tires throwing up rocks and sand. I understand the stock OEM wheels are 0 offset and are 7" wide. That much I understand, but then there's + and - offset for aftermarket wheels and to further complicate things there's backspace...whatever that is. As I said, I want to try to keep the tires under the fenders but I don't want to limit my steering's ability to turn. I'm not sure I want or need 9" wide wheels for 285/70 tires so I think it makes sense to stay with an 8" or 8.5" wheel. I'm leaning towards the Method 316 in Titanium which is 8.5" wide, the Pro Comp 1069 which is 9" wide or Vision 351 Flow which is available in 8" wide. Thoughts, comments, suggestions? Thanks
