2019 2.0T ETorque with almost 55k miles, bought with 27k miles last April.

Have noticed during the last few oil changes that this area, which I believe to be the rear main seal, has looked moist but with nothing actually visibly leaking.
Today I noticed a few drops of oil under my Jeep while in it's parking spot. Once I got a flashlight and looked underneath, I could see that this area was more than just a bit moist.

I did notice that the back face of the oil pan and front of the transmission oil pan are moist as well now, does it look like either of those could be the issue?

Want to ask if I am indeed identifying this correctly as a rear main seal leak and if there is anything to try DYI that might remedy this. I see a few bolts and rubber plugs near there, anything I can try tightening or replacing myself?

I do have the Mopar Extended Warranty (with a $100 deductible), but would like to avoid a visit to the dealer if possible.

If the best bet/only option I have is bringing it in, maybe someone can recommend a dealer in the NY tristate area. I am in Brooklyn, but willing to drive an hour and a half or so to get to a reputable dealer. I also know my extended warranty has rental car coverage, perhaps someone can at least recommend a dealer that has loaner cars available that can bill them to the warranty.

Appreciate any insight or advice anyone may have.

Your oil pan is actually two pieces. It looks as if the upper part of the oil pan has the leak and not your rear main seal. These are only sealed with RTV.

Thank you for that insight! Really appreciate it. I will try to clean the area up and look around the upper oil pan for signs of the leak.

That does seem to be an easier fix than a rear main seal.

Any chance you have a dealership you can recommend for service in New Jersey?

Pellagrino in Woodbury NJ seems to be pretty good. My son n law had his resealed but his was the lower pan that leaked.

did you nail down the source? Asking since I just my oil change and noticed a leak on the passenger side, but it looks like it's above the upper pan seal.

I have not yet, but I am doing an oil change in the next couple of weeks and will clean everything up and add UV dye to my oil.

From doing some reading on the forums here, besides the upper oil pan or rear main seal, it could be the air oil separator, an oil cooler, or some gaskets around some sensors in the engine bay. Haven't had a chance to try and look in the day time yet without the dye.

Will report back once I have added dye and look around.

Thanks for the info. Mine looks like it's above the starter but it's hard to see even with the heat shield on the passenger side taken off. My oil looks like it's isolated to the passenger side. Maybe there is a sensor or something that goes bad and leaks to show itself. I have 101K FWIW.

From what you're describing it sounds like your issue may be the air oil separator...check out the last few posts from here: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/oil-leak-on-2021-2-0t-w-27k-miles.107729/page-3

Everyone also said passenger side above the upper oil pan like yours.

The sensor stuff I read about here, which looks like it can be either or both the passenger and driver side: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/oily-residue-on-drivers-side-of-engine-normal.54481/
