Nav waaay off

Are you parked? Did you actually arrive somewhere the gps sent you but is totally wrong by 20miles? Is your destination a desolate area?

Mine has always been off in certain areas. It’ll think the road I’m on is about 50 feet to the side of where I’m at

Happened I beleive around 2 weeks ago. As soon as the vehicle turns on it's way off. Try to put in a address for navigation and it starts me from where it thinks I am which is always someplace random about 20-30 miles north. No CarPlay or android auto involved.

The gps is obvisouly mis-calibrated which is bizarre because its been totally fine for over a year. All of a sudden its confused

Maybe buy a nice home in that area.

I don’t use the nav built in. I use CarPlay and the Waz app or Mapquest from my phone. That then provides me with dual monitor use for nav.

turn by turn on my phone and map / position display on wrangler dash screen.

I would pull the fuses for the radio let it set for a bit so it resets and I’m not sure what fuses to pull I’m sure someone else will chime in

There’s most likely a radio update for your 8.4 radio, just did one on mine earlier this week and I’m loving the new software and little changes they made.

Hi, it sounds like your Uconnect system needs to be updated. The files for software level 18.45.01 are currently available on driveUconnect.com. I would recommend checking if this update is available for your vehicle. If so, you will be able to download the software to a USB and update your vehicle at home. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Man finally the search function helped me here on JLWF! My GPS did the same thing yesterday- has me driving out around in the desert of eastern Washington and says is getting no GPS info. I’ll look into the update thing...

Hi. As stated above, the 18.45.01 update was designed to ensure continuous access to GPS-based features. I would recommend updating as soon as you have time. Please let me know if you have any questions.
