Nav frozen- please help.

I'm on a 900 mile trip and my nav/infotainment is frozen. I cycle the key to off and open the door which should power off the unit but it stays on and does not reset.

I need the nav function and I fear a dead battery if it stays like this over night.

The way I understand it, disconnecting the battery wont hard boot it because of the small secondary battery which is hard to get to.

Any advice out there?

Ok. So I pulled over... found the fuse for the radio and pulled it. Waited a bit and put it back in. All seems well for now.

Do you have the TazerJL? If so, you could have done a "reboot" with the TazerJL and the issue would probably have been history.

There is a manual method of resetting the head unit. Try searching around for it, in case something similar happens again.

I'm running the Tazer. Didn't think of trying that though. Next time we'll see if it works.
