Just got word that these are available, I have ordered a set for my Sport. Don’t do heavy off road but wanted some protection with side steps. They look like the cover up the pinch seam better and actuall bolt to the pinch seam as well as body bolts - pictures are from their Sahara (better pictures on Amazon)

Look great. Do you know if they will work with the Rubicon Rock rails.

No they bolt to pinch seam, never a good idea.. IMO
They also bolt through either the body mount bushing bolts (Jk) or the body mount bolts (JL) similar to other aftermarket rock rails. They appear to have changed the angle of the JL sliders to better cover up the pinch seam and on the JL The secondary attachment point is the pinch seam.

They won’t work with existing OEM rock rails.

Very interested in these and will be looking forward to your impressions on quality/installation.

Couldn't find much info online with these in JK applications unfortunately.

Any concerns with these bolting to the pinch seam causing unwanted leverage in that area during mild impacts/sliding on rocks? Or would the secondary mounting points perhaps make them more solid in those scenarios?

Not worried they bolt up under the Jeep as well either to the body bolts or the body bushing bolts similar to other aftermarket rock sliders, the pinch seam mounting wouldn’t see much flex

Wouldn’t the steps bend when encountering rocks?

The steps are removable with a couple bolts. Makes it a really nice option to take them off at the trail head, and put them back on for mall crawling.

Did you end up going with these?

Yeah - they have been great, no install issues and the step on both front and rear is positioned great to get in and out. I like the fact I can get out without stepping over the step.

Gotcha. This is mostly for my wife as we have a 2.5" lift. I won't rock rails and she wants more of a nerf bar so this seems to be a good compromise. You have any pics?
