If Cali there is no service at all , and they don't comprehend the word "wheel" .it seems like service efficiencies are lacking big time.

Needs a sticker for the Ford that says "Jeep Rescue Vehicle"Think I would pee my pants laughing if I would have seen the little Fiesta towing the mighty Rubicon. Hope it's just a loose linkage that can be easily fixed quickly!
Kudos to the tow company that actually came through! I bet you use him again should you ever need a tow. Smart businessman for once! Now the real fun begins I guess
Pretty shitty of Jeep if they are trying to negotiation the tow. One guy goes way out of his way to bail you out and now Jeep wants to fuck him on the bill. Why would you wish Jeep to get a good price- you should be wishing the guy that towed you gets what he asked for and to be blunt you should plaster his companies name on this forum to give him a little advertising. He went way above and beyond for you.I experienced the exact same shifter ālinkageā failure last night as I was leaving a parking garage. I got stranded in an underground exit tunnel...at 5:30 as everyone was getting out of work.
It took over 5 hours for Jeep to get tow service to me...and I did not have the roof on...
They were sending out electronic service requests and not following up with the various providers that were ādigitallyā accepting the job. These tow guys were accepting the job, then realizing they couldnāt get a flatbed in there, then just moving on with their lives...
I was getting texted that the provider would be there between 30min to 2 hours...iād wait...call Jeep...theyād follow up with provider, find out guy wasnāt coming...signup new provider...iād get texted 30min-2hours...iād wait...call Jeep...and so on.
I think I spoke to every customer service rep at Jeepās assistance call center over those 5 hours. After getting the number to one of the tow providers, I called them and found out the reason they were not showing up...then I called Jeep and told them. Eventually I got a shift supervisor on the phone and told them they needed to actually ācallā the service provider and explain the situation and get verbal confirmation they could/would come get me.
When they finally started calling providers they found one who would come. The guy showed up with his flatbed, followed by his wife, in her Acura car. He towed me out of the garage with her car, then got me on the flatbed.
By midnight, dealerships were all closed and locked up, so he took me home, dropped the truck down, helped get roof back on, put truck back on flatbed and took it back to his shop for the night. He just dropped it off at dealer this morning.
He explained the Jeep does not pay providers much so was not surprised the previous providers bailed. He and his wife came because they felt really bad i was out there 5 hours. When I had the call-center supervisor on the phone, he actually told me he was concerned about the cost and was negotiating. I was so cold I was getting the uncontrolled shivers. I hope Jeep got a good price.

I was being sarcastic...that guy was greatPretty shitty of Jeep if they are trying to negotiation the tow. One guy goes way out of his way to bail you out and now Jeep wants to fuck him on the bill. Thank you for making this post, because that is exactly what Iām going to do. 4400 milesWow, first other Jeep I've heard with this issue. And you have had yours for a while. I would push hard for a replacement transmission from the start. Hope you get yours back quicker than mine took.
Yep, they are ordering a new transmission...though my service guy has not seen any problem like this himself, corporate has mandated no rebuilding attempts...just order a fresh unitWow, first other Jeep I've heard with this issue. Awesome, great news! Hopefully they have one available to throw into it for you.Yep, they are ordering a new transmission...though my service guy has not seen any problem like this himself, corporate has mandated no rebuilding attempts...just order a fresh unit
Well, I got a call from the dealer yesterday. Apparently they had never actually put the truck on a lift to examine until yesterday...where the tech discovered it was simply the cable detaching from the shifter . Transmission a-ok.Awesome, great news! Hopefully they have one available to throw into it for you.
Automatic or manual? (Not that either should have a problem so soon but just curious). My new 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL with 6000 needs a new transmission. WTH! Transmission seized up, lost power going into the mountains. Fortunately I was able to limp to the dealer. And they ordered a new transmission. Anyone have a new transmission installed so early in the Jeep's life? Curious if I'll have any more problems!

I never thought I'd say this, but... I'M MOVING TO CHICAGO!!My dealership has provided me with a loaner every time at no charge, I've brought it in. Plus I get unlimited free car washes with microfiber wipe down. The valet drives the jeep over to the waiting area. The inside waiting area has: Free coffee, soft drinks, popcorn and wait for it...... ice cream. My kids ask me every weekend to go wash the Jeep. All of this true. Not trolling.
