Today is two weeks. Still no Jeep.

I have now been without my Jeep for longer than I've owned it.

@JeepCares please assist...

Arent the 6sp Aisan? Funny the Japanese part is defective, assuming it is internal to the transmission. Maybe Aisin needs to get its act together on spare parts.
Is it Asian, Aisan, or Aisin? Do they make trannies for other makes as well?

Aisin, and their transmissions are used by all of the big makers that I can think of.

Sorry to hear about your problem "Bleep". I also have the JLUR with manual tranny. Days or hours before this problem surfaced, did you feel something abnormal about the shift or did it just broke all of a sudden?

It was instantaneous. I believe the shift cable just fell of all at once.

Just reread Oregon lemon law. 30 calender days, not business as I previously thought.

7 more days... Sucks, I really like the Jeep.
On the bright side, you haven't run in to half a dozen more issues by actually possessing and driving it.

Do not fear. Jeep is producing many more Wranglers for purchase if you plan to replace it.

Maybe a buy back is also an option. Not sure which method is better for your situation. Lemon or buy back?

Just think, this may be you when you get your replacement.

Since I took delivery of my Jeep in February, Iā€™ve had: a transmission leak (they fixed it), tail light malfunction (they fixed it), blind spot monitor failure (they fixed it), push to start not working (service dept and Jeep Cares Rep says Chrysler is aware of this problem but they have no fix as of yet).

They have been unable to reproduce or get error codes when: ESS has caused it to lurched coming out of autostop, transmission failed to engage when in reverse (RPMā€™s went up but vehicle didnā€™t move - I have video), backup camera has failed to turn on (I have photo), vehicle has gone into Acc mode with Push to Stop instead of shutting off on numerous occasions (I have video available), Radio has stayed on after vehicle is off even after I open driver's side door (I have video), satellite radio breaks up so bad itā€™s not worth listening to the news because I miss 1/2 the story, Uconnect screen has frozen (I have pics), and apple CarPlay works inconsistently. Most of these issues are recurrent, but inconsistent (except autostop lurch - I just turn it off now).

Chrysler says the vehicle is ā€œoperating as designed.ā€ I've been told video and pictures are not adequate to demonstrate the malfunction and prompt repair attempts. They have to be able to get codes or reproduce the problem in the shop in order to attempt to repair these issues.

Most recently I got an ā€œError Code 24ā€ during a scheduled software update (got a pic) and the touchscreen is heating up more than seems normal. Back to the service department on Friday. Wish me luck!

Many Jeeps are pieces of shit. This one seems to fit that family.

Looks like youā€™re only a couple days away from lemon. If it were me, I would.

Itā€™s a shame the engineering and manufacturing quality of the vehicle doesnā€™t match the amazing capability and styling. A vehicle with wasted potential.
