You will be surprised. Seen trucks with crazy lifts get taken out by commuter cars. We are not driving tanks but essentially shells on a frame so I am all for steel bumpers and nerf bars/Rock Rails. Appears OP benefited from the Rubi rock rails too.

Keep in mind, huge battleships can be sunk by a single torpedo

Shortly after my son was born I sold my bike.

Nothing else before was able to stop me including the rear kicking out on a turn and sliding into a ditch, I got back on and rode home with twisted handlebars, dented gas tank and wearing ripped gear. :D

This unfortunate incident gets me thinking.

I wonder--especially since the MOPAR spare parts market's not much established yet for the JL, what would this rig, or say a new one, be worth in spare parts.

I'd guess the largest figure we could calculate would be well North of 6 figures.

OP: this is just going to be a blip on the radar for you looking back--not to minimize your loss, and mental/physical trauma. Get better.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you fully recover from your injuries quickly. And I hope you find yourself back in the cockpit of a JL soon! It definitely sucks, but you'll get your new Jeep, and it will be a HUGE milestone when you pass that 510 mark! A story for the grandkids some day.

Ha ha, honestly I didn't even know about them until after I posted. I do not recall seeing any offroad related icons on the 8.4 screen when I was setting stuff up., I know the inclinometer was in the gauge cluster but that's about it.

It sucks that an advertised feature is being removed/pushed back until 2019. Has anyone from Jeep chimed in the class-action thread?
