Driving my Jeep this morning and switched from XM to FM and a tone started coming over the speakers. You can adjust the volume of the tone but it never stops, even when the jeep is completely off. Restarted multiple times, doesn't fix it. Anyone have any ideas?

Pull fuse?
I'll try that. Already disconnected the main battery but it's pointless because the aux battery powers the radio. Thanks

The aux battery is incredibly easy to disconnect, the nuts are on the main battery terminals.

Happened to me too a couple of months ago, made an appointment with dealer. The next morning everything was OK and the problem hasn't come back as of yet. I have had two incidences where the sound wouldn't come on when the radio was powered up, found that pushing on the AM button restored the sound. ?? only explanation must be aliens are taking control.

Sounds like a dealer visit. Mine stayed on once after I turned the jeep OFF, but after I restarted the Jeep, it reset and everything was fine. No tone was coming out, though.

Hi Storminā€™ Moorman,
We certainly understand why this may be frustrating. If you decide to have your dealer look into this, please send our team a private message and we would be happy to get you connected with a case specialist!

I had the same thing happen. Pull the fuse.

Edit to add...

After I pulled the fuse, I lost XM for a bit. The radio buttons on the bottom of the screen went from square to round. It reset after a few hours and restarting.

And it fixed itself. What the hell? Thanks for the replies.

Supposed to be an update coming for the JL in October, hopefully this will fix some of the issues everyone is still having...
@JeepCares can you confirm if this will be updated through a dealer or over the air? Like my last update.

Or- wait about 4 hours. It goes away. Happened to me about a month ago (after 18 months of ownership). Pulled fuses and such. Then just waited. Turned it on and done. Seems like a 4 hour trend from what I can read. Hasnā€™t come back.

HI Rebacon,
Unfortunately, we have not been given any information regarding a software update in October. You are welcome to check in with us in the future to see if we have any new information,
