That random picture of crap with air tank is a picture of my last camping rig, an old 1994 trooper, that white shelving on tailgate was a fold down shelf...cost was free.

Just happy I found the tank, it's going on wife's truck for air horns

So, the question of steel v/s plastic fenders was resolved when I got home last night and there was a frkn huge box outside (3'x4'x5') with smittybilt logos on it? Called wife and she said she found them online for $99 shipped? These are very heavy-duty, NIB factory sealed w/yellow strapping on it...price now is over $300???

I checked contents and there was extra hardware? Called the 1-800 number, yes an old phone number...not a good number, went online and got a good number.

After finally talking with them...she picked up NOS pre-plandemic fenders, before they made them cheaper and different.

Note mfg. Date...

They were apparently sitting on a "shelf" for 5+ years...

So, metal fenders it is

She is so much more on board now when she found out she was the DD on trails, back to the old days when we met 25 years ago

And walla' done enough to go to vet, I will it pull back off and do winch etc, the bolts are too crappy in my opinion, and on time crunch

I got to paint a wheel yesterday, looks awesome in person, pictures don't show the sparkle.


so, I have dabled in a diy type powder coating for a few years, mostly art stuff.

Now I have jeep parts

Prepped 17x9 steel wheel.

Into oven for 2 hours at 400* to outgas and prep for flocking.

Done, looks awesome!!

Now to match 4 more in next couple weeks, as well as build a bigger oven, got other parts to do.

Went looking in old buildings while watering and feeding.

NIB winch, found some metal for parts and another rti ramp

Brand new aluminum spoolgun and another winch, with sealed hardware kit, but it has steel cable, I'll replace with synthetic.

Yup, 1936 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Sports Sedan, my father and I built it 30 years ago, need to get her out, cleaned up and put tires on her.

She has been neglected the last couple years.
