Hi Harrington,

I am sorry to learn that a repair is delayed due to a part. Please send me your VIN, mileage, and dealer so that I can investigate this further and see how we can assist.

Had left rear go on my JLU Rubicon at roughly 900 miles.

Worst part was having to go to the dealer and have them confirm what I told them and sent pictures to the service advisor, just to have to wait and come back when parts came in.

All has been well since then, though.

So they tell me the shock will be in on Aug. 7th, so I called today to check (Aug. 10th) and now they give me yet another date of Aug. 22. How can they not find a shock? Don't me started on the half inch gouge in the hardtop that I didn't find till after delivery.

Sorry man, same thing happened on my Sport S. Brought it home last Wednesday and noticed a puddle on the garage floor the next morning. After a quick look, I noticed it was a faulty left rear shock and was told they’re on back order too. The dealer installed a Rubi shock to get me back on the road as mine was leaking bad. Apparently it came off a JLUR they did a lift and tires on, and they’re supposed to call me when the back ordered ones come in.

I've been waiting a month and they keep changing the date. Now I'm looking at Aug 27th.

Still no shocks and now they tell me the week of Sept 11 :( And now pieces of my hardtop trim is coming apart on the inside. Also no word on what if anything they will be doing about the half inch gouge on my hardtop which was missed in the pre delivery inspection.

Sept 11th has come and gone and still no shock. Two months seems a little unreasonable to wait for a part.

Since it’s just replacing a $20.00 shock maybe it’s your Jeep telling you to upgrade...

I would gladly except an upgrade but I'm not paying for it. Two interior trim pieces have already fallen off.

So count me in the bad left rear shock club also! 2 door Sport S with less than 400 miles on it spewed fluid all over the floor. I thought it was brake fluid at first but found no leak. I have a set of basically new JK Rubicon Unlimited take-off shocks. Anyone have a clue if they will work? They’re probably a better shock and I wouldn’t have to deal with a dealer.

Seriously! My jeep has been in the shop with the transmission removed for over two weeks. I message jeep cares, they tell me to contact my case manager. The case manager that has never contacted me, so I literally have no way of contacting them.

Same thing with my Jeep though. They cannot find replacement parts for it...
