So, back when I was convincing my wife that I needed a Jeep, I used our somewhat challenging property as the justification. We have a narrow, twisting, somewhat steep dirt path down to a bunch of downed trees (firewood!). Clearly a Jeep was the only way to collect that wood, right? Even though it's still pretty muddy, I retrieved my first load of rounds today, so, mission accomplished! I'm not sure anything else outside of an ATV would be nimble enough to make it around one of the bends without removing trees.

Looks like you need a front hitch to balance out the load lol
I was honestly thinking about just a rear lift.. I know most folks try to level out their rake, but I'd rather have the load capacity... Maybe air bags?

Convince your wife? Dude, you of all people, need a Jeep! As a matter of fact, with the amount of rain you guys get in Oregon, you may be the most justified person in this entire forum.
Nice setup too Dave.

Tires and a winch too as I can definitely see you getting stuck in that mud. You still have work left to do.

Youre gonna be at it a long time , if youre only bringing up 5 pieces at a time. Then you have to split it ?

Justification? After spending 30 years of driving cheap high mpg cars due to raising 3 kids and commuting a long distance in addition to giving up my restored convertible years back...she agreed I needed a Wrangler when I mentioned buying one. She did think I'd be buying a mustang convertible once they kids were gone.
