I’m cross shopping the 392 with a fully built AEV ZR2. I’ve had a ZR2 in the past, and at that time was cross shopping it with a Rubicon.

Just keeping the conversation interesting because there’s nothing else substantial to talk about. I’m sure the FCA marketing execs are having a good laugh watching this conversation spiral into oblivion as we wait for a MSRP.
AEV stuff is way overhyped and overpriced. So many better manufacturers out there.

Not for nothing, but the same is true for turbocharged engines.

On vehicles I’ve owned with turbos, as the turbo engaged you could see the gas gauge drop.
What engine makes good gas mileage when you engage the gas pedal? ;)

Yet you keep comparing it to trucks. Newsflash: anybody who’s looking for a truck isn’t going to buy a wrangler and anybody who’s looking for a wrangler isn’t going to buy a truck.
Name something else that:

1. Has a go fast V8
2. Has off-road capability
3. Appeals based on fun factor

And how many people buy keeps that never do any of these things? 90% plus probably.

Low tow rating
Overpriced for what you get
Low reliability
Behind the times on design updates
Low reliability

90% never take the doors or top off? What % of truck owners go off road? What % actually tow something or load up the bed? I’m sure you know these numbers just as well.

These are totally different vehicles and comparing them is silly.

Buy your truck and go junk up their forums.

I had a chance to buy these but bought a wrangler. I guess what I am saying is for the price of a 392 all you’re getting is the same wrangler you can get with the 3.6 but for $30-40 more and basically it’s just an engine.

At least with the TRX and Raptor you are getting more than just an engine.

That’s crazy. That kind of money will buy you a Raptor. I have both a 17 Raptor and a 20 Rubicon. While they are both awesome I could never see spending that much on a Wrangler unless money was absolutely no issue.

If they get too crazy with pricing/ADMs I might have to look at the new EV Hummer... have to say, while it's not a Jeep it is pretty interesting... but damn I would miss having a V8 with the sound of real power... looks like a Hummer with a 350 mi range is going to cost north of $100k.. so quite a bit more but then you will never have to buy gas and if you have enough Roof Top Solar, it would be virtually free to drive... tempting..hum..
